  • Aftercare Providers partner with veterinarians and medical professionals to complete the cremation or aquamation process when your loved one passes away.

    Ask your veterinarian or medical professional who their aftercare provider is so you can view the coordinates at sea, and the date/time of service.

  • Head to our Recent Ventures page, select the aftercare provider of your veterinarian or medical professional. Our most recent venture will be shown including the coordinates and date and time of service.

  • If you do not see your aftercare provider listed on our Recent Ventures page, let your provider know you would like to work with Oceans of Love and we can work out the details together.

  • Our Captain and crew sail off the coast of Southern California into the Pacific Ocean. When the destination is reached approximately 3 miles offshore, ashes are placed into the sea, along with fresh seasonal flowers. In keeping with nautical tradition, the yacht’s bell is rung eight times to say farewell and signify their watch is over.

  • We do offer individual memorial services at sea for those looking for a more individual and intimate ceremony. Outlined below.

    Unattended Coastal Services

    This personalized, private service includes:

    • an eco-friendly laying of remains along with fresh seasonal flowers laid on the water

    • the yacht's bell is rung 8 times to say farewell and maintain nautical tradition

    • a personal message, song or reading during the ceremony

    • photos and a personalized digital certificate with your loved one’s name and GPS coordinates sent via email

  • There are three different ways to write out GPS coordinates;

    • DDD° MM' SS.S" Degrees, Minutes and Seconds

    • DDD° MM.MMM' Degrees and Decimal Minutes

    • DDD.DDDDD° Decimal Degrees

    The most common method for navigation on the sea is the “Degrees and Decimal Minutes” and this is what we use here at Oceans of Love.

    If you want to use the Google mapping system to show the location of your loved one, then you will need to convert to the “Degrees, Minutes and Seconds” version which you can do here: GPS Converter
